As a father of a toddler one of my priorities is to make sure my daughter eats well and sleeps at least 12 hours per night. As most parents would agree, this is extremely difficult.
Why do toddlers have a hard time falling asleep?
-
Not tired
-
Boring day
-
Not exposed to sunlight during the day
-
Exposed to blue lights at the wrong time
-
Parents fail to establish a pleasant bedtime routine
that will ease the transition from being awake to asleep.
Some of the things parents are doing to put toddlers to sleep.
-
Playing soothing music
-
Expose toddlers to dark room or red dim light (increase melatonin)
-
Breathing exercise to help toddlers wind down
